The holiday season is upon us and London is well-known for its amazing Christmas Markets. Whether you are hoping to find a perfect present for your family members or just want to admire the festive lights and decorations, London has got you covered. The Christmas market in Leicester Square is back for its second year. Expect to find Santa’s grotto, dozens of Christmas shows at the Spiegeltent, and around 25 stalls where you can purchase food, drinks, and gifts. Some of the most famous performances this year will include Cabaret at Christmas and Fascinating Aida. Santa will also be here.

 

Southbank Winter Festival

Southbank Winter Festival

Head out to the Southbank Centre for this year’s Southbank Winter Festival. There will numerous street food vendors selling delicious snacks, as well as wooden huts where visitors will be able to purchase trinkets and gifts. There will also be a sauna in the Queen Elizabeth Hall garden. Make sure to check out the “ABBA: Super Troupers, a journey through the world of the Swedish chart-topping sensation” exhibition.

 

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

One of the biggest and most popular Christmas events in London, Winter Wonderland attracts thousands of people every year including both tourists and locals. It is home to a giant transportable rollercoaster and a massive ice rink. This year, Winter Wonderland will have traditional wooden huts, a variety of different rides, and a couple of themed bars. The good news is that the entrance to the event is free.

Open from 23rd November to 1st January, Winterville at Clapham Common is a great place to hand out during the festive season. There is an ice rink, a big Ferris wheel, and plenty of street food. You can also check out the Backyard Cinema’s Winter Night Garden and watch Christmas movies or play golf on the Plonk Golf course.

 

Greenwich Wintertime Festival

There is a new Christmas festival in London and they call it the Greenwich Wintertime Festival.  The entrance will cost £18, but for that price, you will have an opportunity to see professional ice skating shows and watch live music performances. The market will have many stalls offering food, antiques, and jewellery.
